Steps to make Crab Curry:
  1. Wash the crab pieces with salt and water well. You can add turmeric also to clean.
  2. In a wide cooking pan, heat oil. Once the oil heats up, add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add curry leaves, green chilli and onions and saute till the onions are brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell leaves.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and salt and let it cook covered for 3 minutes.
  5. Add all the powdered spices ie. turmeric powder, red chilli powder and red kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, cumin powder and garam masala. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  6. Once the oil separates, add the washed crabs and mix well until all the crabs are well coated with the masala.
  7. Now add 1 to 2 cups of water and cook covered on medium flame for about 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from flame and add the lemon juice.
  9. Serve hot alongwith white rice.
